Titan Soccer Defeats Cadillac

soccer Caddy

Titan Soccer ended their regular season with a 3-1 home victory over the visiting Vikings last night at Titan Field.  Ethan Vandermolen got West on the board in the first half with a shot from distance that was mishandled  by the goalkeeper and found the back of the net.  The second half saw some sharp attacking play from the left side with serves met with runs in the box producing goals.  Vandermolen turned provider beating a couple of Cadillac defenders to the end line and knocking a ball across the face of goal for freshmen Tony Gallegos to steer home just out of the break.  Adam Hunt would add to the lead minutes later heading home a Joe Rawlin cross for a 3-0 advantage.  A consolation Cadillac goal would not dampen the mood as West recorded its 10th victory of the season capping off an undefeated BNC campaign 8-0-2. The JV team ended its season with a 1-1 draw and also finished the conference slate undefeated 9-0-1.

West will now turn the page toward the MHSAA tournament.  The Titans will resume play on Thursday October 19th @ the winner of Alpena/TCC which takes place in Wildcat stadium on Tuesday October 17th.  Good luck to our Titan Soccer family in District play.
