TC United traveled to Petoskey Wednesday night to take on the Northmen. United jumped out earlier and were up 5-1 in the first quarter. Petoskey was able to claw their way back to knot it up 5-5 going into the halftime break. Both teams came out of the half charged up and ready to play scoring 5 goals each keeping it tied at the end of regulation. TC entered the overtime period down 2 players. United’s defense was able to kill those penalties off and hand the ball over to the offense for the game winner. United was lead by Jack Olson who had 3 goals and 4 assists, Tanner Daray with 2 goals and 1 assist, Matt Ochoa with 2 goals and 1 assist, Eathan Richey with 2 goals (game winner) and Andrew Schaub with 1 goal. Goalie Owen Walter’s stood on his head keeping United in the game and made 15 saves.
The team closes out its regular season this weekend traveling to GR to face Kenowa Hills and will return to Thirlby Field on Monday to host Mona Shores in a MHSAA pre-regional game with a 5 pm start.
