The young Titans came up short on Saturday against a strong Farmington United team 4-1.
Farmington coming off of an 8-1 victory over TCC on Friday, came out flying in the 1st period against TCW, keeping them on their heals for most of the opening period. Goalie Tyler Herzberg played very well to keep the Titans tied 0-0 going into the locker room. The Titans came out with some better energy and managed to score the first goal of the game in the second period. The goal was scored by Nick Beeman, assisted by Jason Hill and Michael Schermerhorn. Farmington quickly answered with two goals less than a minute apart and added one more to make it 3-1 after 2 periods. The Titans continued to look more comfortable playing against their opponents in the 3rd period, but Farmington managed the only goal, making the final score 4-1.
Herzberg ended with 32 saves.
The Titans will open up Big North Conference play against Petoskey on Tuesday, December 4 at Howe arena.
